Who Qualifies For A Bursary Or College Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application procedure.
Applications are actually open and can close on fifteen December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should fulfill the following criteria:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who emanates from a home with a combined gross house earnings that does not exceed R350 000 for each annum.
• People with disabilities qualify if their combined household cash flow does not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and wish not post any proof of income.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent inhabitants from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for every annum.
Applicants are reminded to provide the right Id Doc numbers, names, and surname, as reflected within their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are researching or intend to study at a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to 2025 nsfas application wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
